Area Track and Field: W-DC sweeps the Park Region - Brainerd Dispatch

Other Wolverine winners were Amber Collins in the 400 and 800 runs, Kira Sweeney (1600 run), Isabelle Larson (pole vault) and Lauryn Gravelle (discus).

The W-DC girls relay team of Emma Mehl, Johanna Brunsberg, Emma Ries and Megan Hamelua also earned the win in the 4x800.

Charlie Bushinger gave the Wolverine boys a win in the pole vault and Cole Dunker won the 300 hurdles.

Pillager’s Quintin Laveau won the 200 dash in a conference record time 22.72 and the long jump as the Pillager boys were third.

Jess Kimman won the 300 hurdles to help the Pillager girls to a fourth-place finish.

Pillagers boys 4x200 relay team of Bryson Kriegl, Zion Loucks, Bryce Hutchinson and Laveau earned a win as did the girls 4x100 team of Kimman, Alainna Dobson, Grace Conklin and Tatum Scull.

The Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale boys were fifth overall with Adam Rauch winning the 100 and the 400 and Brady Rach winning the 1600 run.

The BHV boys relay team of Isaac Blashack, Zachary Baumganther, Preston Miller and Dalton Moyer finished first in the 4x800.

BHV girls finished third as a team.

MILACA — Danielle Schirmers won the 100-meter hurdles and pole vault to lead the Little Falls girls to second place in the Granite Ridge Conference championship Tuesday, May 25.

The Pierz girls took fourth place with Ashley Kimman getting a first-place finish in the 300 hurdles.

The Flyers’ 4x100 relay team of Hank LeClair, Louis Sobiech, Ethan Poser and Luke Kush won as did Pierz’s Ethan Kowalczyk in the 3200 run.

The Flyers boys landed in the third spot with the Pioneers capturing fifth.

PINE CITY — Teagan Piecek is a double Great River Conference champion as she won the long and triple jumps to help the Aitkin Gobblers girls to a second-place finish Tuesday, May 25.

The Aitkin boys placed third. Anton Roettele placed second in the 110-meter hurdles and the high jump. The team of Mason Boyd, Jack Grell, Jacob Williams and Jaeland Willams placed second in the 4x200 relay.

Boyd and Roettele joined Jackson Cline and Craig Visnovec to place second in the 4x100 relay.

Piecek jumped 15-foot-6.5 to win the long jump and went 33-9 to win the triple jump. Piecek teamed with Raelene Nyberg, Charlotte Olesen and Kelsi Welle to place second in the 4x100 relay. Piecek was third in the 200 dash.

Aitkin’s 4x400 relay of Madison Hamilton, Emma Ostrowski, McKenzie Kollar and Nyberg placed second.
