Shirley D. (Palmer) Underwood 79, of Shadyside passed away Wednesday November 25, 2020 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born July 31, 1941 in Armstrong Mills, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Bernice (Burge) Palmer Sr.
Shirley owned the Silver Spoon Restaurant in Dilles Bottom’ In her younger years she was a GoGo dancer for Dick’s Night Club (she loved to dance) and she loved Halloween, dressing up and having Haunted house for the kids, and also party’s for the family and friend. She loved life and laughing, she was always smiling.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith R. Underwood Sr. sister Diane Mehl Kolenich, two brothers Richard and Ronald Palmer Sr. and adopted Pierre Evans, and granddaughter Zoe Artler.
Surviving are three sons Keith (Jennifer) Underwood Jr. Karl (Mellissa) Underwood, and Kenneth (Amy) Underwood, a daughter Tawnia (Edward) Artler, and adopted daughter Charlotte “Cissy MacMahon, two brothers Lawrence and Robert Palmer, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Tuesday December 1, 2020 from 11 a.m. till time of service at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dennis Handcock officiating, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Meals on Wheels 45240 National Road W. St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
